·over consumption can create DAMP bc it is a very oily bean;
if patient is already very damp - do not over eat soybean.
·roasting the soy bean allows lots of heat to enter the body - not good, should always be steamed.
·tofu is not suitable ppl w ST/SP Yang Def - made with Shi Gao which is very cold
·do not use tofu in miso for ppl w W-C (too cold)

What are traditional uses of Mung Beans? How does this transfer to current medicinal useage?
traditionally used mung bean to temper the toxicity of the Fu Zi - cook for long time and absorb the toxicity.
same idea when used in the human body - absorb the toxicities - use mung bean soup after antibiotics for less side effects.
Can even use it in the winter time to counter antibiotics (which are cold but the body has to generate lots of heat to counteract)
