What is the function of the bath and theatres

A

The Roman baths were a very important part of this: it was a lot like a spa day, with different types of treatments available, and you would often go with friends.
• The theatre was also a way of getting people to like them. A semi-circular building, people could go see plays and curiosities from all over the empir

Roads and aqueducts

A

Roads: the Romans were famous for their straight roads. They would link all the major towns in a country together, and sped up travel for the army and merchants.
• Aqueducts: the Romans would use the local rivers to remove waste and rubbish from their towns. Because of this, clean drinking water had to be brought in from far away. They used aqueducts for this, bringing water on lead pipes from up to 20 miles away!
