Describe the proper way to present a bottle of wine to a table.
- Bring the bottle, wine key, and black linen draped over non-pouring arm to the table.
- Present the wine bottle with label facing out and a cloth beneath to the host, stating the name of it.
- Pour a 1 oz. taste after allowing them to inspect the cork.
- After host nods, pour bottle with label facing each guest, women first.
- Pour from bottom of bottle to be sure not to obscure label.
- Leave bottle in front of host, cork on table next to bottle.
Ask permission before topping off throughout the evening.
