Sea breeze
The warm air above the land rises and cooler air from over the sea moves in to replace.

When gases and liquids rise and sink in a circular pattern
Land breeze
The warm air above the sea rises and the cooler air from the land moves toward the sea to replace it
Coriolis Effect
The rotation of the earth causes objects in the northern hemisphere to deflect to the right while objects in the Southern Hemisphere are deflected to the left.
Jet Stream
A band of very fast moving wind caused by differences in temperature.
Trade winds
Winds that blow towards the equator
Doldrums
A spot near the equator were there are very few winds
El Nino
Band of warm ocean temperature that develops off the coast of South America
La Niña
Band of cold ocean temperature that develops off the coast of South America
The gulf stream
An ocean current found in the Atlantic Ocean that brings warmer temperatures to the east coast of the u.s.
Polar easterlies
Wind that are found near the winds that move east to west.
Prevailing westerlies
Winds that blow away from the equator and blows west to east found over the USA.
Prevailing winds
Winds that blow away from the equator brings warmer air to the poles.
