In what ways was Wilson not progressive?
He did not support the advancement of African-Americans, mostly due to his Solid South support. He opposed federal Anti-Lynching legislation, had segregationists like Josephus Daniels in his cabinet and screened the KKK film ‘Birth of a nation’ at the White House in 1915.
