What is meant by the term “debt reduction” in a sense to manage tropical rainforests.

A

Countries (such as Malaysia) have borrowed money to fund development. To pay off debt deforestation has been put into effect to use wood to sell to the countries. Reducing debts from countries to stop them from cutting trees down.
