A
  • Lady Tichborne suffered from disease and asked husband to donate food every year after death
  • Sir Roger agreed to give the amount of corn Lady could crawl around before torch ran out’
  • Crawled a 23 acre field - the ‘Crawls’
  • Curse - should this ever be stopped, 7 sons then 7 daughters would be born then the Tichborne name would die out and the house fall to ruin.
