What are a student’s responsibilities while on PACE?
Ensure that the area is without risk, comply with WHS policies and procedures, report hazards or incidents as they occur, actively participate in all training
When should you consult your Unit Convenor or PACE manager if you are concerned about a WHS issue?
You feel unsafe, you did not receive a safety induction, you did not receive specialised instructions to carry out a role, an incident/accident happens
WorkSafe Victoria found that what group were highly vulnerable to workplace injury? How many people per week? Where did they injure themselves?

When assessing a risk using the matrix, what two things need to be considered?
The consequences of a risk and the likelihood of harm occurring.
What are control measures?
Steps put in place that eliminate or minimise health and safety risks.
Who can I contact in a distressing situation?
Host supervisor, Unit convenor, PACE faculty team, MQ Campus wellbeing
What is bullying?
Repeated unreasonable behaviour towards a person or group of people that creates a health and safety risk
What is harrassment?
Any type of behaviour that is unwelcome, abusive, offensive, threatening or bullying
What is unlawful discrimination?
When someone is treated unfairly or less favourably than another person because of their race, sex, colour, national or ethnic origin, pregnancy, marital status, age, disability, religion, etc.
