What is an autocracy?
Government which one person has all the power.
What is a monarchy?
King or queen rules the country- known as monarch

What is the difference between a historical monarchy and a modern monarchy?
Historical monarchy – monarch has all power and final say in government
Modern monarchy - Monarch shares power with other parts of government. Often they are subject to the country’s constitution. This is called a constitutional monarchy.
What is a democracy?
Citizens hold all the power
What is a representative democracy?
Citizens elect leaders to represent their rights and interests in government. They can vote new ones if they do not like their representative.
What is a direct democracy?
Call citizens are involved in helping the country run. Most countries are too large for a direct democracy to work.
What is in oligarchy?
A small group of people have all the power.
What is a junta?
Small group of people, usually military officer who rule the country, taking it over by force.
What is a theocracy?
It is a government that recognizes God or a divine being as the ultimate authority.
What is an anarchy?
Nobody is in control! There are no countries that have an anarchy as their form of government
