Q

How did you get to the crime scene

A

On the morning of 15 January 2023, our station received an alert from NSW state rail that a large, felled tree was on the train line near Picton holding up the train network and it appeared suspicious because there were wood chips close by the felled.

Q

how did you go about finding the culprit

A

When I returned to work the next day, I was informed that a few calls had come in about the incident. Most of them seemed pretty far-fetched and we didn’t follow up. Then, I read the statement of a truck driver who had been an eye witness of two people in Picton early yesterday morning. I followed up with this person and prepared a formal statement.
