How is a beach formed?
A beach is formed when the waves take land from somewhere eroding it, they carry the material and then drop it somewhere else. This keeps happening until a beach is made.
What is attrition
The bits of rocks keep knocking into each other until they get worn out and fall off.
What is Abrasion?
Abrasion is when the waves force water into the cracks of the almost eroded land eroding it more causing it to fall off.
What is the land called once it dissolves
A solution
Why are groynes built?
They are built to slow down long shore drift.
What is long shore drift?
Long shore drift is when A lot of pebbles or rocks are carried in and out of water in a zigzag pattern until they break.
What is a beach?
The result of the deposition of material.
