What to do if... Flashcards
Fire
Evacuate the area and sound the alarm altering other staff members. (Do NOT attempt to fight the fire yourself unless your only escape path is blocked)
Remember your own safety should be your priority, don’t put yourself at risk.
First Aid
First Aid kits can be located in stations and on trains, there may be first aiders at larger stations and if in any doubt you should call 999.
In the event you are dealing with an incident, asses the situation for any dangers (terrorism, electrical wires, fire), make the situation safe if you are able to (don’t risk your own safety), assess the casualty (are they breathing, are they conscious, are they bleeding?) and call for help either in the form of other station staff or in the form of 999 and an ambulance.
