Shadows are dark areas where something blocks out light.

A
they are formed because light travels in straight lines and does not bend around corners, so something in its path can block the light.

if the light source is small, it will be called an umbra and it will have sharp edges.

When the light source is spread out, the shadow is called a penumbra and has blurry edges.
