What is a source?
A source is something that provides information about the historical topic you are studying
What is an inference?
what you work out from the source, reading in between the lines and using your own knowledge.
What is PANDA stand for?
Purpose-why was it made
Author-what is the background of the author
Nature-what type of source is it
Date-When was it produced
Audience-Who is the intended audience
What does ‘Historia’ mean?
Greek word meaning ‘to find out’.
What is an enquiry?
A question about the past
What is a ‘Biased ‘ source?
A biased source is when the creator’s perspective is so strongly for or against so it is unbalanced or prejudiced the source.
What is provenance
The origin of the source.
Why can History be dangerous?
Because like Hitler ( who told the the german children that the the Jewish people were causing the problems for the people), they can give you false information which is manipulation
What is a Myth?
Something that is commonly believed but no evidence to support it.
What are the dangers of history
Example: Focusing too much on the past can stop us dealing with issues of the present.
