What is the textbook definition for what is art?
For something to be considered art it has to have human interaction.

may be visually apparent, given by the title chosen by the artist, told by critics and scholars. Sometimes it may be unclear.

In early cultures, art was a communal effort around the theme of cycle of life.
In modern times, artists adress social issues.

Value can mean sale price, ceremonial, political, or spiritual value.
Art has the power to tell us about the human condition.

Art can be censored for many reasons such as challenging those in power, pornographic, offends religious beliefs, represents values that others do not share.

By subject matter, context, works arrangement of the visual elements and principles.

art that depicts figures and objects so that we recognize what is represented

the degree to which an image is altered from an easily recognizable subject

the process of breaking down a complex issue or problem in order to better understand it
