Equality:
- Staff using non-discriminatory language
- Access to care services provided to everyone e.g ramps, hearing loops, large print, braille
Diversity:
- Offering choice e.g. meeting dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, gluten-free

What does ‘promoting individuals rights and beliefs’ include?
A
Rights:
- Mobility, dietary and communication needs met
- Ensuring all areas are accessible for all
- Female staff available
Beliefs:
- Cultural and religious dietary needs met e.g. kosher, halal
- Prayer room
- Celebrating a wide range of festivals e.g. Eid, Chinese New Year, Christmas

What does ‘maintaining confidentiality’ include?

- Only sharing private information on a ‘need-to-know basis’
- Private information should be kept in a safe and secure place e.g. a filing cabinet
