A

SG very progressive ah then they continue to urbanise and develop the land. then i tell you ah, this causes natural habitats to shrink. then those poor wildlife may start to become dora the explorer and venture out of the nature areas because they like cookie monster looking for cookies liddat. very hungry mah then they also no more home because we also need home mah. All these ah, they can potentially increase the frequency of human-wildlife interactions.

A

some animals may be confused or fearful as they explore the unfamiliar environment around them, which increases their likelihood of attacks when fearful or triggered. (can’t blame them man only can blame ourselves as humans for leaving them in this situation)

Q

example of environmental protections and dumb inconsiderate people and their worries

A

The Cross Island MRT Line was proposed to be built around, instead of under the Central Catchment Nature Reserve to protect our largest primary rainforest.
- residents were trembling in fear, developing clammy hands, and had cold sweat rolling out of their pores because this development would:
-> bring them inconvenience
-> damage their poor houses/property
-> result in their homes being acquired to make way for the construction

but ah this nature reserve is home to a lot of critically ( very ) endangered species. Construction of the MRT line may damage their habitat, affecting their survival.
