Lives in rivers
Eat piranha, and other small fish
Has molar teeth
River pollutants and industrial runoff are threats to these whales
Eaten by jaguars, and anacondas
Large pectoral fin, can turn neck 180*, and swim in a circular pattern
Chinese White Dolphin
“Humpback dolphin”
Born white but can turn pink
Boat traffic, and pollutants are threats to this whale
Found mainly in estuaries
Live in temperate, coastal waters
Coast of Africa, Australia, and China
False Killer Whale
Live in tropical, subtropical, and temperate waters
Eat fish, and squid
Exposure to chemicals, and bycatch threatens this whale
Tapered fins, tall dorsal fin
Can focus echolocation on specific areas
Longfin Pilot Whale
Live in the Arctic
Fewer teeth than most whales
Countershading
Whaling, and chemical exposure are threats to this whale
Suck in prey, don’t bite into it
Commerson’s Dolphin
Black and white pattern
Very small in size
Disruptive coloration
Swim near the surface and ride waves
Often swim upside down
Hunt after dark
South American cold waters
Bycatch, and industrial pollution are threats to this whale
