Tested + for clostridium
Small bowel resections - due to stricture & fistula in the past - loss weight 10Kg
she is not oriented to time /place - pupil = equal + reactive to light - abduction of the right eye limited - elicits bilateral horizontal nystagmus - gait is wide based
cause of Pts neurologic symptom ? Dx ?

Nutritional vitamin deficiency

WE clinical features triad ?
A
Ataxia
Encephalopathy - lethargy + disorientation
Oculomotor dysfunction - nystagmus + gaze palsy

Associated conditions of WE ?
A
malnutrition - as the stem
hyperemesis gravidarum
chronic alcoholism

Tx of WE ?
A
IV thiamine administration
