Elective surgical procedure - Anesthesia — Prolonged paralysis

anesthesia was administrated with propofol , succinylcholine , fentanyl infusions

no return of neuromuscular function back

Mother also have problem - slow to wake up from anesthesia
why prolonged paralysis ??

A

After succinylcholine’s == prolonged paralysis

Pseudocholinesterase deficiency
Autosomal recessive disorder
genetic polymorphism in the BCHE gene
