CXR (PA normally grid and AEC – outer chambers)

COMPUTED RADIOGRAPHY

PA, 125kVp/AEC (2-6mAs)
AP Erect (not AEC) 125Kvp/2-6mAs

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY RM 3 GENERAL

PA, 125kVp/AEC (1.6-3mAs)
AP Erect (not AEC) 125kVp/1.6-3mAs

Not really done in room 3 (just use a PQ usually) otherwise around 1/2 to 2/3 exposure of CR choices about right for DR depending on bodypart (chest at 1⁄2). Don’t usually set many DR manuals as presets are good but will definitely tweek from the preset if variables are introduced such as patient size, artefact, distance angle OID increase etc..Or if first image appears under or over exposed. Take DR manual exposure recommendations from some of us with a grain of scepticism!!
