What is life expectancy
Life expectancy is the average time someone is expected to be alive based on location
Describe infant mortality
Infant mortality is when a child dies within the first year
What is Population growth
The increase in people who live in a certain place
What is fertility rate
The amount of people being born
What are factors affecting birth rate?
Access to contraception, Religious beliefs, infant mortality rate

Human Development Index

Demographic Transition Model
Stage 1 - High birth rate, high death rate, low population
Stage 2 - Lower death rate, high birth rate, population starts to increase
Stage 3 - Birth rate lowers to meet death rate, death rate flattens out, population increases
Stage 4 - Birth rate is low, death rate is low and total population is high
What is aged dependency
A large amount of old people who are dependent on younger population
What is youthful dependency
When you have a large group of young people who are dependent on older people
