albuterol
(pediatric - mild to moderate asthma, anaphylaxis, and hyperkalemia)
Mild to moderate asthma, anaphylaxis, and hyperkalemia:
Via nebulizer:
weight < 20 kg: 2.5 mg/dose.
weight > 20 kg: 5 mg/dose
Repeat every 20 minutes
albuterol
(pediatric - Respiratory distress with signs of bronchospasm)
Respiratory distress with signs of bronchospasm:
5 mg via nebulizer.
Repeat for continued respiratory distress
No maximum dose.
epinephrine
(pediatric - anaphylaxis)
Anaphylaxis:
Weight less than 25 kg:
0.15 mg 1:1000 IM
Weight 25 kg or greater:
0.3 mg 1:1000 IM
Repeat dose every 5 - 15 minutes PRN.
epinephrine
(pediatric – respiratory distress with wheezing, stridor (from anaphylaxis)
Respiratory distress with wheezing, stridor (from anaphylaxis):
5 mg (5 mL) of 1:1000 nebulized
epinephrine
(pediatric – Cardiovascular collapse (from anaphylaxis)
Cardiovascular collapse from anaphylaxis:
0.5 mcg/kg/min of 1:1000 IV infusion,
despite repeated IM anaphylaxis doses
of (0.3 mg IM), AND 60 mL/kg isotonic
fluid boluses.
naloxone
(pediatric)
Initial dose of 0.1 mg/kg IV/IO/IM/IN/ETT.
Max dose: 2 mg IV/IM/ETT or 4 mg IN
glucose, oral
(pediatric)
0.5 - 1 g/kg PO.
Maximum dose: 25 g
