Yes. Not just for tax reasons. It is also a sign of committment

- Cross-cultural tension
- Clash of autonomy and parental expectations
Why do Muslims tend to not shake hands with the opposite sex?
It involves physical contact. As an equivalent, Muslims will place their right hands over their hearts
Why does Islam prohibt anal sex and sex during menstruation?
Could be hygiene related. With modern contraception, these prohibitions may be unncessary

The intermediary position. Homosexuality is a sin but does not put Muslims outside of Islam

Growing acceptance. Between 2010 - 2017, acceptance rose from 27 - 52%

Why could homophobia be interpreted as a cultural issue rather than a religious issue?
The Quran does not explicitly mention homosexuality. Verses referencing queer identities tend to condone them
Why is it odd that some Muslims don’t permit freedom of sexuality?
It is odd because they (more specifically the Quran) supports freedom of religion
