Describe an Environmental Policy
intentions and direction of an organization related to environmental performance, as formally expressed by its top management.
What is top management?
A person or group of people who directs and controls an organization at the highest level.
What are interested Parties?
Interested party: person or organization that affects, be affected by, or perceives itself to be affected by a decision or activity.
What are environmental aspects?
Element of an organization’s activities or products or services that interacts or can interreact with the environment.
What are environmental impacts?
change to the environment, whether adverse or beneficial, wholly or partially resulting from an organization’s environmental aspects.
What is an Environmental Objective?
Environmental objective: objective set by the organization consistent with its environmental policy
What is a compliance obligation?
Legal requirement along with other ones as well.
Competence
Ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results.
What is an indicator?
Measurable representation of the condition or status of operations, management or conditions.
What is monitoring?
determining the status of a system, a process or an activity.
What is Environmental performance?
performance related to the management of environmental aspects?
