• The stated lens parameters and name should be carefully recorded, particularly with the development of newer generations of the same lens material

Why is there a settling time after insertion?

• in lens movement over the initial 10 to 15 minutes post-insertion
• However, movement 1 again during the day’s wear
• Movement after 8h wear = movement measured 5m after insertion
• Therefore assess SCL fit about 5m after insertion.

Why is there a test order to assessing the fit?

• Lens fit can be affected by invasive techniques and stimulated tearing, so the examination should be conducted under sufficient, but minimal illumination.
