Q

What is the equation?

A
  • ΔS = - log2 Pr(X=x)
  • ΔS –> change of uncertainty
  • Pr = Probability
  • Negative –> probability decreases, amount of info increases
  • Uncertainty is changed by the amount calculated

Q

Why is Information theory, important:

A
  • identifying people who want to stay anonymous
  • Keeps ourselves safe online, avoids tipping off our targets while conducting OSINT
  • Finds information about anything, regardless of how little we know to start with
