What does the colour Pale with fat of a stool mean?
Malabsorption of fat
What does the colour White or Clay of the stool mean?
Absence of bile, barium from x-ray
What does Green liquid mean if you see it in a stool?
Excess sugar
What does Black mean in a stool?
Iron therapy (Ferrous Gluconate)
If the colour of a stool is Tarry (melena), what does it mean?
Upper GI bleed (ulcer)
If the colour of a stool is bright red, it means?
Lower GI bleed, hemorrhoids
If the colour is Mucousy in a stool, it means?
Constipation, colitis, straining
If there is bloody mucous in a stool, what does it mean?
Blood in feces, inflammation, infection
