human impact from all sides,
and making decisions based on
your organisation, professional
and personal values.
What is Privacy?
Privacy is responsibly
collecting, using and storing
data about people, in line with
the expectations of those
people, your customers,
regulations and laws.
Usually recognised by common law
4 Fundamental Q’s for ethical reasoning
Who is/are the person(s) involved?
2. What action was actually taken or is being contemplated?
3. What are the results or consequences of the act?
4. Is the result fair or just for all stakeholders?
Anchoring
Reliance on initial data as a reference point, affecting decisions. Avoid bias by using diverse data sources.
Confirmation Bias
Most people don’t want new information, they want validating information. This leads to flawed decision-making.
