gently palpate for vein above site, withdraw very slightly, if no blood, aim needle toward vein, incert slightly.

remove needle completely, and start over on other arm with new equipment

remove tourniquet, disengage tube then withdraw needle

A

hold above site without pressure, remove needle, close on table, put in container, and apply pressure to site. Smooth motion.
