Phase:
Interference:
Fluorescence :
Confocal:
A
Light: basic, tissues
Transmission: cell, cytology
Scanning: 3d, surfaces
Polarizing: refractive indices along different optical axes
Phase: living, indices
Interference: living, like phase

Q

Basic vs Acid staining? Give some charges here:

A

Q

Describe how hematoxylin/Eosin stains work:

A

Hematoxylin - a basic stain that will dye negatively charged stuff blue

Eosin will color all the positively charged stuff pink, because its an acidic stain

They are used together so you can see all the different cell componets
