Fixed stenosis, relieved by GTN, comes on during exercise, safe/predictable
What is the key pathological trigger?
Plaque rupture from fixed stenosis to dynamic stenosis
What should be shown on an ECG that suggests ST elevation infarct?
ST elevation, T wave inversion and Q wave formation
What should a STEMI look like on an ECG?
more than 1 box in 2 adjacent limb leads
ST elevation is in at leads 2 leads next to each other
New onset bundle branch block
What is anatomical site of inferior on an ECG?

What does switching off platelets do?
Blocks the ADP receptor and switches off COX
What does troponin detect in MI?
myocardial necrosis
What is the early treatment in MI?
Clopidogrel, aspirin and thrombolysis
Who shouldn’t receive thrombolysis?

What is the guidelines on Optimal Reperfusion Therapy in MI?
90mins and >40mins drive time= Thrombolysis
What is the early treatment in MI?
Analgesia, anti- emetic IV, Aspirin and Clopidigrel GTN O2 if hypoxic Primary angioplasty Thrombolysis
