what is workforce 2000?
an article that basically told companies that diversity in race and gender will be coming into the workforce and that they should be aware - came off as a scare
Why is our organizational world more complicated than the past?
climate change, change in demographics, globalization, and terrorism
what kinds of individuals do organizations want?
those who can speak well, write well, persuade others and can demonstrate interpersonal skills
what would be a person’s first organization that they are exposed to? why?
family because you were taught organizational skills there, you were able to change organizational skills and later able to execute them properly

lateral (horizontal), downward, and upward communication
what is downward communication?
flow of info from managers to employees
what is upward communication?
