  1. Tunica Externa: Contains collagen and elastic fibres.
  2. Tunica Media: Mostly smooth muscle but has some collagen and elastic fibres.
  3. Tunica Interna: Has epithelial tissue for liminal flow.

  1. Conducting arteries: Elastic arteries expand to lessen fluctuations during diastole and systole.
  2. Distributing arteries: Muscular arteries control flow via vasoconstriction/vasodilation.
  3. Resistance vessels: Controls blood flow via peripheral resistance.
