Coll is at 0 for all beams except G180, G100 and G260
G180: Coll rotated to 270 so MLC can shield spinal cord
G100 and G260: collimator rotated to miss dose to shoulders, inf jaw can also be adjusted

Why do we untick split if neccessary in VMAT

A

Keeps continuous beam delivery without any interruptions caused by beam splitting

Splitting beams increase treatment delivery, by unsticking we manually optimise beam configurations and minimise beam on time

A<1, for targets, reduces cold spots
A = 1 for parallel structures, considers cold and hot dose equally
A >1 for serial structures, reduces hot spots
