Week 3 Flashcards
What is the ATA Chapter for Engine Indicating and Recording?
ATA77-10
What is EPR used for?
Indicating thrust
Is is Exhaust/Intake or Intake/Exhaust?
Exhaust/Intake
How do EPR sensors work?
There are two small vibrating cylinders located within the gas paths. The vibration of the cylinders is influenced by the air pressures that surrounds them, and vibrate relative to those pressures. From these vibration frequencies, electronic signals of EPR are computed and are supplied to the E.P.R. gauge and electronic engine control systems
If you have mechanical type pressure sensors, how many transducers are used per engine?
one
If you have electronic sensors, where will the information feed into?
FADEC
