Types of SSI

Confirmative SSI
assessment where the epistemological privilege is known where the participant is the respondent and is the confirmation of the data fitting in the study
see if the data is confirmative of the previous data
most similar to the regular interview style
Corrective SSI
evaluation, refutation, elaboration and correction of data, epistemological privilege is the knower and the known
participant is a collaborator
assumptions are based on what is known and then swaying, either +ve or -vely

discovery and understanding of exponential research based on respondents and expanding on existing research
Divergent SSI
contrasting and discernment of data, epidemiological privilege is a group of knowers where the participant is the informant
participants with conflicting experiences and research is juxtaposing
Purpose of SSI
ascertain participants’ perspectives regarding an experience pertaining to the research topic
Domain of SSI
general topic to be focused on in the research where components of it can be identified, but the answers to the questions are still relatively unknown
Categories of SSI
Subtopics within the domain with common characteristics from the domain
Item of SSI
an individual article or unit that is part of a collection or set. These items form the main structure or question stems formulated for the interview schedule
