What is the Trinity?
God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one in essence, three persons.
How does God the Father shape identity?
He is the Creator and calls us His children (John 1:12).
How does Jesus shape identity?
He redeems us and makes us disciples & co-heirs (2 Cor. 5:17-20).
How does the Holy Spirit shape identity?
He guides, empowers, and transforms believers (Rom. 8:14-16).
How does the Trinity send believers on mission?
Father: Sends us (Isaiah 6:8)
Son: Commands us to make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20)
Spirit: Equips us (Acts 1:8)
How do Christians continue Christ’s work?
Through evangelism, service, justice, and reconciliation.
Who is mission for?
The whole world (Psalm 67:2).
Who participates in mission?
The whole church—all believers (1 Peter 2:9)
What is holistic mission?
A mission that addresses spiritual & physical needs.
How did Jesus model holistic mission?
He preached, healed, fed, and welcomed outcasts.
What is our identity according to Scripture?
We are created in God’s image, called to be His people, and sent on mission.
What does Missio Dei mean?
“Mission of God”—God is the source of mission (John 20:21).
Why is mission important today?
It addresses poverty, injustice, secularism, and spreads God’s love.
How was mission seen in Africa before colonialism?
Spiritual traditions emphasized community & justice.
What are key themes in African mission?
Holistic mission, community (Ubuntu), and healing & deliverance.
