Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal with his God. They both built alters, and the prophets of Baal went first, screaming to Baal. Baal did not answer, because he doesn’t exist. Elijah prayed to God, and God sent fire that burned the rocks on the alter. Elijah killed all of the prophets of Baal.
Elisha
Elisha had sores all over his body, so he was told by Elijah to go and bathe in the Jordan river seven times. He was healed after that.

Hezekiah was faithful to God, so he succeeded in everything he did. He despised fake idols, so he would destroy them. He conquered the Assyrians by praying to God, and he sent the angel of the Lord to kill 185,000 Assyrian men.

Esther was willing to die for her people, the Jews. She created a plan to convince the king not follow Haman’s plan to kill all the Jews.
Haman
Haman was a Jew hater, so he hatched a plan to kill all the Jews. He accused them of not following the kings orders. After building gallows to execute Mordecai, he then realized that Mordecai had been given an honor by the king. Hamas was executed on the gallows he built for Mordecai.
Mordecai
Mordecai saved the king from assassination and refused to bow down to Haman.
Ezra
Ezra was sent to Jerusalem by Artaxerxes, king of Persia, to go to Jerusalem to teach the Torah and rebuild the social community.
Nehemiah
Nehemiah prayed and got permission from the Artaxerxes to go to Jerusalem and help rebuild the city’s walls.
Hardships of exiled returnees
Returning to Jerusalem was hard, because everything was destroyed and only poverty remained. In the near future, they would face many problems in rebuilding Jerusalem.
