Unfreezing
The first part of the organisational change process, in which the change agent produces disequilibrium between the driving and restraining forces.
Refreezing
The latter part of the organisational change process, in which systems and conditions are introduced that reinforce and maintain the desired behaviours.
Strategies for minimizing resistance to change
Communication, Learning, Employee Involvement, Stress Management, Negotiation, Coercion.
Guiding Coalition
A diagonal swathe of employees representing different functions and levels in an organisation who show a similar degree of commitment to change as the change agent.
Social Networks and Viral Change
Social structures of individuals or social units that are connected to each other through interdependence. Participants in these groups that network have relatively high levels of trust so their information and views and mor persuasive in initiating change.
Lewin’s Force Field Analysis Model
Model of system-wide change that helps change agents to diagnose the forces that drive and retrain proposed Organisational change.
