- All of the activities involved in planning and implementing marketing in the electronic environment, including the internet and web on computers, tablets and smartphones, and other information and telecommunications technologies.

- Paid media → Paid media refers to any digital advertising that a business pays for.
- Owned media → Owned media refers to any digital channel owned by a business in which content is controlled and governed by the organisation.
- Earned media → Content generated from outside the business.
