What is a presentation?
An oral report.
What steps make successful presentations?
- analyse your audience and address their needs
- have a clear sense of your purpose and main ideas
- organize your ideas and information
- select and prepare visual aids carefully
- rehearse the presentation
- deliver the presentation effectively
What is business storytelling?
Using stories to communicate and connect with employees, customers, suppliers, partners, and anyone else involved with your organization. The purpose of business stories isn’t entertainment. Rather, they have a specific goal or desired outcome.
Factors of successful speaking:
- Have a worthwhile message
- Know your purpose
- Know your audience
- Know the environment
- What to expect
- Scout the room in advance
Four styles of presenting
Read, memorize, impromptu, extemporaneously (rehearsed)
Two major categories of presentations:
Informative and persuasive.
Occasionally, both.
Preparing your presentation, you must have:
- Outline
- Research
- Use notes
- Rehearse
Tips for presentation
1.First slide should identify

4.Use bullet points in slides.
5. Use pictures, graphs, charts and visuals to make your points

In delivering your presentation, remember three things:
- Engage your audience
- Adjust your presentation style
- Manage the flow
The job of the audience is to:
- Listen carefully and ask appropriate questions.
