What is the function of blood?
*Transport: Hormones, waste materials of metabolic processes, nutrients, respiration
*Protection: WBC protect against diseases, performs hemostasis,
*Regulation: Temperature, pH and water content in cells
State Murphy’s law.
How is it relevant in this case?
Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Like all things in life the blood may fail to perform any of the functions discussed earlier
Anemia (‘without blood’ ‘low blood’, ‘tired blood’, ‘iron poor-blood’).
Describe the red blood cells for a normal individual.
A healthy person has:
*An adequate number
*Of correctly sized red blood cells
*That contain enough hemoglobin to carry sufficient oxygen to all the body’s tissues.
