light
moderate
vigorous
sedentary -> 1.5 METS or lower

True or False: more than 25% of Canadians meet the recommended 150 minutes of PA per week
False; only about 15 % of Canadians meet the recommended 150 minutes of PA per week
what are the “costs” of physical inactivity
- ranked 4th amongst 5 leading risk factor of global mortality, along with high blood pressure, tobacco use, high blood glucose, and overweight and obesity
- 82% of Canadian adults have physical inactivity as a modifiable risk factor associated with chronic disease
- estimated to result in health cost of $6.8 billion / year
