What is the origin of the superior rectus
The origin of the superior rectus is at the Annulus of Zinn at the apex of the orbit
What is the course or pathway of the superior rectus muscle
This muscle starts at the rear of the orbit at Faiq and your list of Zen sort of on the upper part
It runs from the back of the orbit to the top of the eye just under the levator palpebral muscle – both of these muscles are linked
Where does this muscle insert
The superior rectus insert in front of the centre of rotation in the front Eye
This muscle doesn’t come straight up the eyeball. It approaches at an angle with the visual access at 23° nasal to optic angle
Which nerve supply is this muscle
The superior division of the oculomotor nerve
What are the primary and secondary actions of this muscle
The superior rectus in its primary action pulls the eye up as a result of elevation
The secondary action of The superior wrecked this is a duction because the muscle is angled. As it shortens, the eyeball twists towards the nose
