WEEK 1 PHYSICS Flashcards
Displacement
Distance without a change of direction
Vecotrs
Physical quantites that have direction
Scalars
They have physical quantites (numbers) but they dont have any direction like (west, east)
Magnitude
The size of a quantity
Newtons third law of motion
When two objects interact with each other, they exert equal and oppsite forces on each other
Driving force
Is the force that makes the car move
Friction
Ground and tyre for each driving wheel, frictions happens then the tyre contacs the ground
Resultant force
If the resulatant force is zero we know it is balanced
Newtosn first law of motion
If the object is at rest, it stays stationary
If the object is moving, it keeps moving with the same speed and in the same direction
