What are the typical 3 main sections for the structure of a motor company?

What does OEM stand for? What does this mean?
Original equipment manufacturer, this is a company that produces non-aftermarket parts- so before assembly
What is the difference between a supplier and an assembler?
A supplier makes and provides components, the assembler assembles said components which are supplied.
What is the difference between Fpds DV and the old system?
There are a lot more processes to get to the end product, it is a more detailed analysis.
What is a design review?
They are meetings conducted by the program manager to review engineering related issues which require the chief engineer and program manager to provide final decisions that can lead to trade-offs.
What is a milestone review?
Meetings determine whether milestone deliverables have been met to proceed to the next gateway. The chief engineer gets the final say.
What is technology kick-off? (the first gateway)
Reviewing the project to establish the purpose, business justification, initial requirements stakeholder buy-in.
