What is a Low-Fidelity Prototype and what does it show?
A Low-Fidelity Prototype is a physical diagram of a web page, made from pens and paper. It would usually show information such as what text is going to say and thumbnails for videos and images
What is compression and what is it used for?
Compression is the act of making files smaller to cut file size down and thus decrease loading times of webpages displaying media
What are the two types of compression available?
Lossy Compression
Lossless Compression
What is Lossy Compression?
Lossy Compression is compression which removes data thus decreasing the quality
What is Lossless Compression?
Lossless Compression is compression which doesn’t remove any data
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the MP3 file format?
An advantage of using MP3 is that the files are usually of a much smaller file size, however a disadvantage of using MP3 is that the quality of the audio file is sometimes compromised
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the WAV file format?
An advantage of using WAV is that the sound quality is usually very clear, however a disadvantage of using WAV is that the file size can be up to 4GB
What can be noted about the MP3 lossy compression?
It takes out notes of the audio file that are outwith the threshold of human hearing (Hz)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the JPEG file format?
An advantage of using JPEG is that it allows for 24 bit-depth and the file size will be smaller, however a disadvantage of using JPEG is that the resolution of the image is often compromised

An advantage of using GIF is that it produces high resolution images, however a disadvantage of using GIF files is that they only use 8 bit-depth and they have high file sizes
