Weather satellites orbit the earth
What does a barometer do
A barometer measured atmospheric pressure.
How do you know its a barometer
It’ll look like a compass
What does it mean if isobar are close together?
If isobar are close together it means that atmospheric pressure is high, if they’re spread out atmospheric pressure is low.
Whats a maximum and minimum thermometer
A M&M thermometer measures the heat, its measured in degrees Celsius (°c)
How is the average (mean) temperature shown?
The average (mean) temperature is shown by a number
Whats a rain gauge
A rain gauge measures the amount of rainfall in a area, its measured in millimetes (mm) and its kept in a open space, away from trees and stuff.
How is rainfall shown on a weather map?
Less rainfall = light blue more rainfall = dark blue
