How Hurricanes Form Flashcards

Q
How do hurricanes form?
A
Hurricanes form over warm ocean water found in the tropics, warm moist air rises as it rises it cools and condenses. As the air condenses it releases heat which powers the storm. More water is drawn upwards from the ocean. Several thunder storms join together when speed reaches 120km per hour the storm is called a tropical story. The storm developed a eye in the middle, the storm gets carried away by the wind and it gets stronger as it goes. When it reaches land the friction of the land will weaken the storm.
